Yauatcha, Soho

Yauatcha restaurant Soho

Whenever Elldrew are asked for the best dim sum in London we have to recommend the Michelin-starred teahouse Yauatcha, located in the heart of Soho. In it’s 10th year, we’ve been sampling it’s delights since opening and we have no plans on going anywhere else soon.

A fantastic menu of Chinese dim sum (steamed, baked, grilled and fried) is on offer, along with a vast selection of à la carte meat and seafood dishes, soups, salads and noodles. Beautifully presented with the focus on delivering food full of flavour that wont, surprisingly, break the bank! The Soho branch is also the only restaurant in the Hakkasan Group to provide a retail patisserie counter. Influenced by modern-European cooking, and created to act as a palate cleanser after the spicy Chinese cuisine, we dare you to even try walking past their window without drooling over the beautifully designed range of macarons, petits gateaux and handmade chocolates.

We never quite make it to the dessert because we are too busy munching on our favourite dishes…Venison and Wagyu Beef Puffs, Prawn Cheung Fun, Edamame Truffle Dumplings, Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf with Chicken & Dried Shrimp and Spicy Pork Szechuan Wontons.

And the perfect tipple has to be their cucumber martini; simple, elegant and moorish.

15-17 Broadwick Street, Soho, London, W1F 0DL. Bookings essential.
