Just a quick update as the Christmas silliness seems to also be consuming Elldrew (which is a welcome distraction from the delayed renovations)!
As we write this, the mini builders are still making an appearance 8am each morning, snagging is in full swing, the kitchen is still not finished (grrrr), so we have put our foot down with Mr Builder and given him a deadline of this Friday so we can at least start unpacking all the boxes, that are currently stored in every other room of the house.
Kitchen bench tops and tiling, due to delays, will not be installed until the New Year (boo), but hopefully we will at least have a house unpacked and cleaned ready for the arrival of Father Christmas (and a few long awaiting guests itching to have a nose around the place). Oh, and part II of the curtains are being installed this weekend, so hopefully we will be able to sit down with a glass of wine over the holidays and write a final update (we have put that on our Christmas list so here’s hoping). Week 8 and 9 have been rather frustrating, especially with the finish line in sight.
Wishing all our followers a very merry Christmas, enjoy the silly season and Elldrew hope 2013 is an amazing year for you all (with the end of world planned tomorrow we had to get this posted just in case).
